I stand ten toes down and agree with you wholeheartedly don't live your life in regret and fear and interestingly, I've always been the 'I must achieve this by a certain age' type that challenges me to do what I want before it's 'too late' only to realise that I was rushing towards a thing because of fear of not doing or being before a certain time. And you're rght, so what if I start over in my 30s or graduate in your 40s, just do the thing.
Thank you, friend! 🙏🏽 Isn't it amazing how that scripture hits differently when you're in your own season of change? I love that it doesn't say 'if' but 'when' - because God already knows we'll need His strength for these bold moves!!
This is good stuff. And also, I needed to hear/read it. I'm 52 and I feel this writer, whew chile.
I do hope he and I can become the paradigm for those who leap later. Ava Duvernay(who I'm not really a fan, Shhh!) started in her late 30s and didn't break out until after 40. Barry Jenkins, the director of Moonlight(late 30s).
p.s. Isis stop playing...yes, there're several Oscars for filmmaking, director, screenplay, screenplay adaptation.
LOL! You got me with that P.S. 😂 I never watch award shows so now I know!!! And YES to Ava and Barry's stories! What powerful reminders that our 'late' is actually right on time. Love that you're claiming your leap season at 52 - we're about to have a whole generation looking up to YOU as their proof that it's never too late to chase a dream. Keep going, friend... and I'll be watching for your name in lights! ✨
Isis! This is so good. In a leap myself and I needed the quote about disappointing others. I have to stop disappointing myself. I love this content. A breath of fresh air.
Thank you, beautiful! 🙏🏽 That Glennon Doyle quote changed ALOT for me. Here's to choosing YOU and watching everything else fall into place! Keep taking those brave leaps - you got this!!
Thank you, Isis. I'm going through a season just like this and this helped me. I'm in a season of taking a big leap and adjusting my faith in Him to be louder than my fear.
Also, I don't know if you know 'Ask Abby' from yeeaaarrrsss ago, but this reminds me of her column the way you addressed the person, lol ☺️ I loved reading the advice she gave to people.

Great stuff, I love.
Your gift to uplift is truly God send. So many points hit home. And Isaiah 43:2 is my new fav 🙏🏾
So much good in here. In different ways this applies to me too. The scripture hits 👏🏾
& So grateful this resonated with your journey too! Keep taking those brave steps!!

Yesss, look her up! I think you would like her. She passed away a while ago and I believe her family is keeping up with the column today. Thank you 🫶🏾
I read/reading some of her old articles! I can’t believe she was 94 when she passed wow! She had a lot of wisdom!
